The world of work has been changing consistently over the past years. However, suddenly the realities of digital workplaces have accelerated the need. People are forced to learn quickly, adapt fast and adopt new ways of working. So fast in fact that employees and leaders did not have the time to process this and master it, let alone come to terms with this agile way of work.

The stress faced by professionals in the modern world of work is substantial.  For many professionals, it is intrinsic to the job itself, where competing demands and pressures cannot be escaped. The sheer volume of work can also be overwhelming at times, whether one is an administrative worker, teacher, doctor or manager. Importantly, stress can have serious consequences. It can develop into a living nightmare of running faster and faster to stay in the same place.

  • The participants will better understand the importance of managing their time to reduce levels of stress.
  • They will also understand their time management style and how to improve their management of stressors and urgent demands.
  • They will learn how skills like planning and prioritising assists in managing time.
  • They will better understand what wastes their time and how to overcome these.
  • The participants will also explore their communication style and look at ways of effectively communicating with team members.
  • They will also explore other skills to assist them in improving interactions with team members and what hampers their effective communication.

This course will enable delegates to apply knowledge, skills and insight as a team member or within a management context, and can also be used for personal development or as a specific workshop within an overall organisational change management program or project.

Day 1 of this course requires attendees to complete an assessment from which the output will be used by our facilitator to tailor specific advice and guidance with associated tools and techniques (which are covered in Day 2 of the course).

Delegates will be issued with course workbooks, in-course hand-outs and other relevant material.

There are no specific pre-reading requirements.

There is no formal examination associated with this course.
