ITIL 4 Foundation Certification

 

This ITIL 4 Foundation Certification is fully accredited with Axelos and Peoplecert. It is the entry level qualification and is therefore designed as an introduction to ITIL 4.

ITIL 4 is the acronym for Information Technology Infrastructure Library comprising a set of best practices for managing IT services. It offers a practical framework that focuses on the identification, planning, delivery, and support of IT services to the core business functions of an organisation. Implementing ITIL leads to greater visibility of IT costs, better asset utilisation, reduced costs, and higher customer satisfaction.

ITIL 4 enables you to understand a modern way to look at IT Service Management through as an example, the ITIL Service Value System (SVS). ITIL 4 offers an evolved view of a Service Value System (SVS) and provides a holistic end-to-end view of what it means to contribute to business value. It also integrates concepts from methods such as Organisational Change Management (OCM)Agile and Design Thinking.

This certification adheres with an accredited course syllabus and certification process governed by Peoplecert.

ITIL SVS

  • Individuals who require a basic understanding of the ITIL 4 framework and how it may be used to enhance the quality of IT service management within an organization.
  • Anyone working in IT looking for IT Service Management education and an understanding of how to provide business value.
  • Individuals seeking progress toward further ITIL 4 qualifications in IT Service Management for which the ITIL 4 Foundation is a prerequisite.

Although there are no pre-requisites for the ITIL 4 Foundation course or for the examination, it is recommended that exam candidates complete an accredited event before attempting the examination.

The qualification is based on a 1-hour closed-book examination of 40 multiple choice questions. The pass mark required to certify is 26/40 (65%).  Successful delegates will be awarded the ITIL 4 Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management.

It is important that any interested parties to be aware that all ITIL training events are always and only offered together with the respective exam which is included in the training price.
